Terms of Use

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and RaidMetrics ("we", "us"), who operates raidmetrics.gg (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

Your use is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

The Site is a free, unofficial fan tool. You give it a link to a Warcraft Logs report and it reads that report through Warcraft Logs' public API, then grades what it finds against community rotation priority lists and shows you the result.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., RPGLogs, LLC (Warcraft Logs), or Wowhead. World of Warcraft, Warcraft Logs and all related marks and content are the property of their respective owners. The Site is fan content operated under Blizzard's Fan Content Policy, End User License Agreement, and trademark guidelines, and nothing here claims any ownership of Blizzard's or RPGLogs' intellectual property.

In the interest of being straightforward about how the Site is actually made: much of its code, and this document, were drafted with substantial help from AI tools. What's ours is the direction — what to build, what's correct, and what ships, gets rejected, or gets rewritten — all reviewed and decided by the operator; the AI didn't design, approve, or publish anything unsupervised. The rotation priority lists the Site grades against are, likewise, adapted from published community guides (Wowhead and similar), not invented from scratch by us — see Section 7 for how that's validated.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old, to use the Site. If you're under the age of digital consent in your country (16 in parts of the EU), use the Site only with a parent or guardian's permission. The Site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

The Site is for personal, non-commercial fan use, in line with Blizzard's Fan Content Policy. You agree not to:

• Attempt to break, overload, scrape in bulk, reverse-engineer, or circumvent access controls on the Site, or on the Warcraft Logs, Battle.net or Wowhead services it uses.
• Deliberately exhaust the Site's shared hourly API budget, or automate requests to the Site at a volume a person couldn't generate by hand.
• Introduce viruses, worms, trojans, logic bombs, or other malicious code, or otherwise try to compromise the Site's security or the integrity of its data.
• Use the Site to harass, dox, or target anyone — including using its output about other players in a raid or group to abuse them.
• Use the Site in violation of any applicable law, or of Warcraft Logs' or Blizzard's own terms.

We may suspend or block access to the Site — in whole, or for a given user, IP, or report — at any time, for any reason, without notice, including to protect the Site or its API budget. We may report a serious violation — attempted intrusion, malware, and the like — to the relevant authorities.

Warcraft Logs reports contain information about everyone in that raid or group, not just you. When you point the Site at a report, you are asking us to process that report's data, and you confirm you're entitled to share that link with us. Use what the Site tells you about other players responsibly. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

The Site depends on Warcraft Logs, Battle.net and Wowhead. It displays data those services provide and links out to them. We don't control them, aren't responsible for them, and they may change, rate-limit, or stop serving us at any time — which can break features here without warning. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, not ours — it's on you to review them, and if you don't agree with one, the fix is to stop using the Site rather than to use it in violation of that service's terms.

The rotation grading is built from published guides and checked against real logs, but it is not authoritative. It doesn't cover every spec, it can misread a log, and it can tell you something is a mistake when it isn't — the spec status page tracks what's actually been validated. Nothing on the Site is coaching, professional, or financial advice, and no outcome is promised. Use your own judgment.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any analysis it produces is accurate or complete.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, gold, raid progress, ranking, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the site, on any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).

The Site is free. This limit reflects that. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where that exclusion is unlawful.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including any claim arising from a report you submitted or how you used the Site's output about other players.

The Site's own code, layout, text and analysis logic belong to us — built, as Section 2 says, with AI-assisted tools and rotation priorities adapted from published community guides, not claimed as an invented methodology of our own. Combat log data, spell data, icons, and game content shown through the Site belong to Blizzard, RPGLogs, Wowhead or their respective owners, and are shown here under their terms. You may use the Site's output for your own play and for sharing with your group — including posting a screenshot or a share link the Site generates — you may not republish the Site itself or pass its analysis off as your own product.

If you believe something on the Site infringes your copyright, send us: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it appears on the Site; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized; and (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you're authorized to act for the copyright owner. Send that to raidmetrics@gmail.com, and we'll remove the material if the notice is valid.

This is a personal project run on a hobby budget. It can change, break, or shut down at any time, with no notice and no obligation to preserve anything — including to comply with Blizzard's Fan Content Policy or a legal demand, or because Warcraft Logs, Battle.net or Wowhead changed their own terms or APIs out from under us.

We may revise these Terms at any time. The "last updated" date above will change, and continuing to use the Site after that means you accept the revision. If a change materially reduces your rights, we'll try to make it more visible than a date change.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Illinois will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

That last part has a limit worth stating: if you're a consumer somewhere whose law guarantees you the courts and protections of your own country, that guarantee still applies and nothing here overrides it. Consumers in the EU, for example, can generally bring a claim at home regardless of this clause.

Before filing anything, email raidmetrics@gmail.com with what's wrong, specifically enough that we can actually look into it. We'll try to respond within 90 days; if it's still unresolved after that, either of us can propose informal mediation in Illinois, with a mediator we agree on and costs split evenly, before going further. Any claim has to be brought within two years of when it arose. If a dispute is litigated and one side substantially wins, that side can recover its reasonable legal fees and costs from the other.

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may, to a successor of the Site. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Site.
